Meet our newest team member!

We are delighted to announce that Meritxell Risco de la Torre will be joining the team in the autumn as a doctoral student. She completed her MA in Viking and Medieval Norse Studies at the University of Iceland in June 2019 and has also studied at the University of Aarhus, the University of Barcelona and at Escola Andorrana de Batxillerat in the Principality of Andorra. We are looking very forward to her joining us in September!

Meet our new postdoctoral researcher!

We are delighted to announce that Timothy Bourns has joined the team as a postdoctoral researcher. He comes to us from the University of Oxford, where he completed his doctorate in Old Norse in 2018. He is currently a Lecturer in medieval English and a Sub-Dean at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford and will be joining us formally in the autumn. We are looking very forward to welcome him on our team!

Post-doctoral Fellowship. Emotion and the Medieval Self

The University of Iceland invites applications for a post-doctoral fellowship at the School of Humanities (Institute of Literature and Visual Arts) in connection with the research project ‘Emotion and the Medieval Self in Northern Europe’, funded by RANNÍS, the Icelandic Centre For Research.
